Vietnam PM Bolsters Economic Collaboration, Secures New Trade Opportunities in Russia Visit

After concluding a three-day official visit to Russia, Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has returned to Hanoi. The visit was primarily focused on bolstering bilateral cooperation and participating in the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, which celebrated 35 years of ASEAN-Russia relations. During his time in Russia, the Prime Minister also visited Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, where he took part in significant summit sessions and business forums.

In Russia, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng engaged in discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and various regional leaders. The talks centered on enhancing cooperation in several areas, including investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development. These meetings aimed at expanding the collaboration between the two nations and exploring new avenues for economic partnership.

The Vietnamese delegation actively engaged with prominent Russian organizations and businesses during the trip. This interaction led to the signing of multiple cooperation agreements, which are expected to foster deeper ties between the two countries. In addition, the launch of new direct flight routes connecting Vietnam and Russia was announced, signifying a step forward in facilitating easier travel and commerce between the nations.

The visit underscored Vietnam’s dedication to reinforcing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership and advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia. Both countries have committed to implementing measures that will deepen cooperation and yield more substantial outcomes across critical sectors. This commitment is poised to support long-term economic growth and further bilateral development.
