This initiative aims to enhance Vietnam’s participation in global humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. The Prime Minister commended the 124-member team, comprising military and public security personnel, for their professionalism and dedication during their mission following the dual earthquakes in Venezuela.

During the operation, the Vietnamese team managed to recover 57 victims and provided critical support by delivering 5.6 tonnes of relief supplies. Their efforts also included offering medical care to more than 130 residents and contributing financial aid to the communities affected by the natural disasters. The mission underscored Vietnam’s commitment to providing swift and effective humanitarian assistance on the international stage.

Prime Minister Hưng emphasized the need for Vietnamese authorities to bolster their capabilities in rescue operations. He called for the acquisition of modern equipment, enhanced specialized training, improved coordination, and stronger international partnerships to ensure more effective responses in future missions. Highlighting the importance of these enhancements, he also stressed the necessity of recognizing and supporting personnel who participate in overseas humanitarian efforts.
